Medico Legal

Dr Simon Dolin has extensive experience as an expert witness in the following areas

  • Personal Injury
  • Medical Negligence
  • Criminal cases

His interest is defining diagnosis, causation and prognosis in complex cases of both personal injury and medical negligence, especially as regards development of chronic (persistent) pain states after trauma or medical interventions. He has worked with legal colleagues in assessing quantum for damages, and defining appropriate levels of support versus self management for patients with chronic pain and disability. This is often a complex formula which requires fairness to both sides.  He has experience of court attendances for both tribunal work and criminal cases.
